Where is the Elso course held?

The course is built upon the ELSO Guidelines. This course is held at our ExtraCorporeal Education Center (EC 2) in Murfreesboro, TN just 30 miles south of NASHVILLE.

Who can enroll in Elso courses?

All Ithaca-campus Cornell multilingual domestic and international graduate and professional students who are able to enroll in courses through Student Center may enroll in ELSO courses. (Cornell students enrolled at Cornell Tech and Weill are not eligible for ELSO courses.) Students are not permitted to audit ELSO courses.

This course is intended for the MD, NP, PA, RN, RRT, CCP, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients requiring ECMO support. The course is built upon the ELSO Guidelines.

What is included in the ECMO course?

The course will provide a didactic overview of foundational cardiac/pulmonary principles, common critical care support lines/devices, ECMO physiology (VA, VV, and hybrids ), and mobilization strategies specific to patients ECMO.

Take advantage! You need to register, of course. It has been over two years since I did ECMO and this is a good refresher course for me.
