Under Florida Statutes 61.21; if you are divorcing and have minor children, or involved in a paternity case with minor children, you must complete at least a four (4) hour Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course, approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families, prior to obtaining a divorce.

Litigants who wish to take a parenting course on the internet must file the proper motion with the court and receive the court’s permission before taking an online course. All online courses must be certified by the Department of Children and Families as an approved 4 hour Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course Provider.
